Stabia Main port

MEDIEVAL CASTLE

For everyone, it is the castle of Castellammare di Stabia, in use from the end of the 10th century until the 18th century. It enjoyed great prestige during the period of Angevin rule. After a period of neglect, the structure was restored during the 1930s of the last century.

Located at about one hundred meters in height, from this elevation one enjoys an extraordinary panorama that allows for the admiration of extraordinary views of the beauties of the Gulf of Naples, between the coast of the capital, the Sorrento peninsula, and the islands of Capri, Ischia, and Procida. The Medieval Castle of Castellammare di Stabia surmounts the Stabia Main Port from above and welcomes those arriving in the port, showing itself in all its majesty on the hilly area of the city.
